Abstract Generations have always had differences between them, both in their values and in their way of thinking. But these differences be- come increasingly dynamic, influencing human behavior, habits and thoughts, bringing implications for the management of organizations. Based on this, the objective of this research is to explore the pers- pectives of generation Z in relation to the job market. Because ge- nerations are working simultaneously in organizations, investigation is timely so that managers can adapt their strategies and thus pro- vide better cooperation between generations and obtain an efficient environment and workflow. To respond to the proposed objective, qualitative research was carried out, with interviews of students from the Accounting Sciences course at a Federal Public University, who fall within the age group defined by generation Z and who are active in the job market. To analyze the data collected during the intervie- ws, the Atlas TI software was used, with the intention of organizing and coding the relevant excerpts. Thus, it was found that generation Z expects from organizations positions that provide challenges and continuous learning, so that the organizational routine does not be- come monotonous, leading to turnover, as another characteristic of this generation is the reduced feeling of loyalty to the company and So, when they don’t feel comfortable with the workplace, they don’t hesitate and leave. Furthermore, the preference for jobs that provide flexible hours so that it is possible to reconcile professional life with personal goals was mentioned during the interviews. Keywords: Generation Z; Motivations; Job market; Balance.
